Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 4–11 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (847) 905-0669. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, thespotevanston.com.

Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 112 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in Evanston.

Evanston is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Evanston follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We visited The Spot for the second time yesterday and were very impressed with the Nonna and Drunk Chicken pizzas, and the entire experience. It is a friendly place. We arrived around 5:15. There was no wait. We loved the pizzas. The service was excellent. They took our order promptly. The pizzas did not take too long, and arrived hot with very generous amounts of toppings. So much good food! We had plenty left to take home for tomorrow. Our water glasses were never empty. There was plenty of street parking available. We will be back again soon.

Fun ambiance with great food. They also have a wide variety of local brews and the staff is very friendly. Every third Wednesday of the month they host a storytelling open mic (do not submit) so come for the food and stay for the stories.

The Spot is a classic. If you’ve been around the block in Evanston it’s a legendary place, huge history. Glad to see it making its return. The pizzas were incredible, I got the chicken parm sandwich~ so good! The vibes are great and the food and drinks are even better. Glad to see it making its return, Otto and Fred are great. Highly highly recommend checking it out if you’re at Northwestern or in the Evanston area.

Had a super fun mellow weekday night. Food was great, portions were huge on the fries. Pizza is not a cracker-thin crust but i prefer some chew so it was a 9/10 for us. Staff was friendly, chill and gave good drink recommendations Will be back to try more of the menu

Fred and Otto, We really enjoyed our first experience here at The Spot so much that we will definitely be coming back soon! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with several smiles at the front door from your sweet staff and we felt very welcomed in. The staff was so kind, professional, and knowledgeable at just about everything we could have asked them. We enjoyed the salad and the meatball appetizer so much that we later thought that we should have gotten an order to go. Almost every table had a hot pizza on it when we arrived and so we too decided to get your Drunken Chicken Pizza. The pizza was so hot, delicious. and flavorful! We love the partnership that you have with Danny's Pizza on Archer Avenue in Chicago which is also why we we came to try it. Next time we are going try your other delicious appetizers and entrees that we were still talking about all the way home! Thank you for a great experience and a five star hospitality vibe rate from us! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ~ Sincerely, Your newest fans!
